Is it out yet?
Yes. Fold the Stars is on the App Store now, for iPhone.
How much does it cost?
Free to play, with no ads or subscriptions. The Black Market offers two optional packs: coins or dark matter. You can earn both resources by playing.
How does local multiplayer work?
Up to 8 players play together on one Wi-Fi network, or peer to peer with no network at all. One player hosts a lobby and friends join in seconds.
Can I play online with people far away?
No. Fold the Stars is solo or local multiplayer, with every player nearby. There are no servers.
Do I need an account?
No accounts and no servers. Game Center sign-in is optional, and guests keep their progress on the device.
Does the game collect any data?
Anonymous diagnostics and nothing else: crash reports and, when enabled, anonymous usage data, none of it linked to you. You can turn diagnostics off at any time in Settings → PRIVACY. There is no advertising and no tracking in the app. See the Privacy Policy.
What is in the game?
Twelve named harvest Folds and a randomly generated sector, five kinds of resource-bearing worlds, five ships from the free Scout to the Harvester with its mining beam, and seven enemy types with different tactics. Play solo, or with up to 8 nearby players in Hard Harvest and the Arena.
What age is it for?
It is rated 9+ on the App Store, for infrequent or mild cartoon or fantasy violence.
